This American hop is developed by HBC, the Hop Breeding Company and was released in 2012. Therefore Mosaic™ is also known as HBC 369. Mosaic® is the daughter of Simcoe® and a Nugget derived male. Mosaic® is named in honor of the artistic assortment of aromas and flavors it is capable of presenting.

Mosaic™ offers a versatile and complex mix of tropical, fruity and berry flavor characteristics that translate very favorably into several styles of beer.
Alternatives
Thanks to its character, this hop has also been referred to by some as “Citra on steroids”. Citra® en Mosaic™ are varieties that combine well too.
