The newest Aussie flavor hop Eclipse® is created by HPA – Hop Products Australia. Its ancestry is the result of cross pollination of high alpha Australian and North American hops.
Aroma
This hops imparts fruit forward flavours of sweet mandarin, zesty citrus peel and fresh pine needles. Sweet and sour fruits like kiwi and grapefruit are given even more radiance with basil and more herbs in the background. It can be used in large doses to make a fruit-forward IPA, or pared back for lighter beer styles. The depth and complexity of Eclipse® is best accessed through late additions in the whirlpool or dry hopping.
