Burnt Syrup belongs to the category of caramel. Caramel is obtained by heating highly concentrated sucrose or glucose syrup. This produces dark syrups with different colour (EBC) values. The higher the colour, the more bitter the syrup.
Burnt Syrup BS5000
This aromatic caramel or colour caramel E150a is a dark brown liquid obtained by the controlled heat treatment of food sugars, without any chemical product. Besides its typical caramel flavour and aroma, it also gives beer a special red/brown colour.
The syrup can be used in various beer styles and is added in the brew kettle.

Caramel (glucose syrup, sugar, water) OR colour: caramel E150a.
Origin
Maize (corn), sugar beet, sugar cane, wheat.

Storage advice
Keep dry in closed original packaging in a clean environment. Store preferably between 15 °C and 20 °C. Please be sure to read all of the information and downloads carefully before use.
