Enigma™ is a new, exciting hop bred and released in 2013 by HPA, the Hop Products Australia program. The largest Aussie hop grower who is working with farms in Southern Tasmania and North-East Victoria that have been growing hops for more than 150 years. Together they grow 90% of Australia’s hops, which is roughly 2% of hops grown around the world. HPA can supply a huge range of consistently high-quality hop.
Aroma
These hops are just as intense as a good glass of red wine: full-bodied, elegant and fruity. With late addition or dryhop aromas of grapes, red fruit (for example rasperry and red currant) and honey dew melon can be achieved.
Alpha
The values represent the medium range of the past few years. Be aware that specific alpha values can vary in a broad range depending on the relevant crop year.
