About the Sage & Thyme Infused Malt
Let your creativity run wild with this infused malt: Sage & Thyme Infused Malt. A temporary special malt with the soft, savoury notes of the great combination of sage and thyme. Perfect for many styles of beer. From a Wit beer to a Berliner Weiβe and from a saison to a pale ale. It is even suitable for something very hoppy. The Sage & Thyme Infused Malt is without a doubt a unique addition to the malt deposit and brings a whole new depth to the recipe.

Ideal for brewing a limited edition craft beer!

Recommended application Sage & Thyme Infused Malt
The percentage of Sage & Thyme Infused Malt in the deposit is clearly up to the brewer, but as a rough guideline, based on some laboratory mash tests Belgomalt has conducted, they advise brewers to use between 15% and 45% in their deposit. Depending on the recipe one has in mind, it is best to use the lowest percentages for soft/pure/lighter beers with subtle nuances, but if the intention is to make a stronger beer, or something with large hop additions, or other strong tasting special malts, one should increase this percentage to the upper end of the recommended range.
The Sage & Thyme Infused Malt contains full enzymatic activity and can therefore be used as a base malt without affecting starch conversion.
